What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Body20 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for maintaining the Technology System in good working order at their own expense. The Technology System includes the point-of-sale system, the customer relationship management system, the online reservation system, and other technology systems that Body20 designates. The franchisee must also ensure their employees are adequately trained in using the Technology System and related policies and procedures.
This means that a Body20 franchisee will need to budget for ongoing maintenance, repairs, and potential upgrades to the Technology System. They will also need to allocate resources for training their staff on how to properly use the system. Failing to maintain the Technology System can lead to operational issues, data security breaches, and non-compliance with payment card industry standards.
Furthermore, the franchisee is responsible for any consequences that arise if the Technology System is not properly operated, maintained, and upgraded, or if any of its components fail to operate continuously or as expected. This places a significant responsibility on the franchisee to ensure the Technology System functions correctly and securely, as any failures could lead to financial losses or damage to Body20's reputation. The franchisee must also comply with all laws and payment card provider standards relating to the security of the Technology System, including the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.
