What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for the cost of fitness certification courses. Specifically, the franchisee must ensure that they and their employees comply with all training and certification requirements set by Body20. This includes attending and completing, at the franchisee's sole cost, a fitness certification course through an accredited program. These programs can be nationally or internationally recognized, such as the National Academy of Sports Medicine, the American Council on Exercise, or the International Sports Sciences Association. Body20 may also provide these courses through their online training university.

This means that as a Body20 franchisee, you will need to budget for the expenses associated with these certifications for yourself and your staff. The costs can vary depending on the chosen certification program and the number of employees requiring certification. It is important to factor these costs into your initial investment and ongoing operational expenses.

This requirement ensures that all fitness coaches at Body20 studios meet a certain standard of expertise and are qualified to provide fitness coaching. While Body20 may offer some training programs, the responsibility for obtaining and maintaining these certifications ultimately falls on the franchisee. Prospective franchisees should inquire about specific certification requirements and associated costs during their due diligence process.
