minated, you must secure our approval of another site and enter into a Site Lease for the new approved site within 90 days. You agree to pay us the Relocation Fee upon notifying us of your intent to relocate the Studio to a new Site, whether or not the new Site is approved. Section 5 Training and Assistance

  • 5.1 Initial Training. Prior to opening the Studio, you (or your Operating Principal, if you are an Entity) and your Designated Manager (collectively, "Required Trainees") must personally attend and satisfactorily complete our initial training program ("Initial Training"). We will provide Initial Training as soon as practicable after the execution and delivery of this Agreement at our offices, at any other location that we designate, and/or remotely via recorded media, teleconference, videoconference, the Internet, webinar, or any other means, as we determine. We will determine the length, timing, location, and substance of Initial Training in our sole discretion. We may waive a portion of Initial Training or alter the training schedule if we determine that your Required Trainees have sufficient prior experience or training or have previously been trained at one of our Studios. Each subsequent Operating Principal and Designated Manager must attend our Initial Training unless we otherwise agree in writing.
  • (a) Cost. We will provide instructors, facilities, and materials your Required Trainees as part of the Franchise Fee, provided that all of your trainees are trained during the same training session.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Body20 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Required Trainees, which include the franchisee or the Operating Principal (if the franchisee is an entity) and the Designated Manager, must successfully complete Body20's initial training program. This training must be completed before the studio opens. Specifically, the Required Trainees must complete the Initial Training at least 30 days before the studio's opening date or the Opening Deadline, whichever comes first, unless Body20 specifies an earlier deadline. If the Required Trainees fail to complete the Initial Training successfully, they must repeat it or be replaced with trainees who can complete it.

Body20 may also require the Required Trainees to complete Initial Training prior to the presales period or another deadline that Body20 specifies. Furthermore, Body20 may periodically conduct mandatory or optional training programs for the Required Trainees and/or employees. The franchisee may also be required to ensure that their studio employees comply with all applicable training and certification requirements that Body20 imposes, including completing a fitness certification course through an accredited program.

At all times that the Body20 studio is open for business, it must be under the personal, on-premises supervision of a Required Trainee. The Required Trainees must successfully complete Body20's training program and any other training programs that Body20 may require. The franchisee may not permit the studio to be operated, managed, directed, or controlled by any other person without Body20's prior written consent. If the franchisee fails to maintain the quality and service standards, Body20 may assign trainers to the studio to retrain employees and restore service levels, or require the franchisee or their employees to repeat Initial Training or attend additional training programs.

If a Designated Manager ceases to be employed and a new manager cannot be immediately appointed and trained, Body20 may provide a Designated Manager temporarily for a reasonable fee. The franchisee is responsible for training all other employees in accordance with Body20's standards and training programs. If the franchisee fails to properly train employees, Body20 may prohibit them from training additional employees and require the employees to attend training at Body20's headquarters, with the franchisee paying a training fee of up to $1,000 (currently, $500) per trainee per day, or pay for Body20 to send a representative to train them at the studio.
