Who are the 'Required Trainees' that must attend the Body20 initial training program?
Body20 Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Prior to opening the Studio, you (or your Operating Principal, if you are an Entity) and your Designated Manager (collectively, "Required Trainees") must personally attend and satisfactorily complete our initial training program ("Initial Training"). We will provide Initial Training as soon as practicable after the execution and delivery of this Agreement at our offices, at any other location that we designate, and/or remotely via recorded media, teleconference, videoconference, the Internet, webinar, or any other means, as we determine. We will determine the length, timing, location, and substance of Initial Training in our sole discretion. We may waive a portion of Initial Training or alter the training schedule if we determine that your Required Trainees have sufficient prior experience or training or have previously been trained at one of our Studios. Each subsequent Operating Principal and Designated Manager must attend our Initial Training unless we otherwise agree in writing.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Required Trainees who must attend the initial training program are the franchisee (or the Operating Principal if the franchisee is an entity) and the Designated Manager. This initial training is a mandatory step prior to opening a Body20 studio. The franchisor determines the specifics of the training, including its length, timing, location, and content.
Body20 may modify the initial training requirements if the Required Trainees have sufficient prior experience or have been previously trained at a Body20 studio. Subsequent Operating Principals and Designated Managers are also required to attend the initial training unless Body20 agrees otherwise in writing.
The initial training is included as part of the franchise fee, provided all trainees attend the same session. However, Body20 reserves the right to charge a Training Fee for individuals attending subsequent initial training programs, such as those repeating the course or replacing someone who did not pass, as well as for subsequent Operating Principals, Designated Managers, or employees attending the course. The Required Trainees must successfully complete the Initial Training at least 30 days before the studio opens or by an earlier deadline specified by Body20. Failing to complete the training may require repeating it or sending replacement trainees, without any refund of the initial franchise fees.
