What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to purchase the Technology System from designated or approved suppliers. This system includes software, hardware like computers and tablets, security cameras, and related equipment necessary to connect to Body20's technology platform. Franchisees must also adhere to any software license agreements required by Body20 or the software licensor, along with any related software maintenance agreements.
If a franchisee wishes to use products, supplies, Operating Assets, or services from a non-approved supplier, they must seek written approval from Body20. This process involves providing requested information, potential facility inspections, and product testing. The franchisee bears the cost of this approval process, which is the greater of $1,000 or Body20's actual costs, including personnel and travel expenses. Body20 has the discretion to grant, deny, or revoke approval based on their judgment.
Body20 will notify the franchisee of their decision in writing, but if no response is received within 30 days of submitting all required information, the request is considered disapproved. It's important to note that approved products and services may vary between different Body20 studios. Body20 also retains the right to re-inspect approved suppliers and re-evaluate their services, with the ability to revoke approval if standards are not met. This system ensures that Body20 maintains control over the quality and consistency of its technology and services across all franchise locations.
