What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a prospective franchisee enters into a Development Agreement to develop between three and ten studios, the development fee will range from $165,000 to $350,000. This fee is calculated as 100% of the aggregate of all Franchise Fees due for each studio the franchisee commits to develop.
The Development Fee is credited towards the Franchise Fee due for each studio developed under the Development Agreement. This means that the franchisee will not have to pay an additional Franchise Fee under each Franchise Agreement signed under the terms of the Development Agreement.
This structure is common in franchising, as it incentivizes multi-unit development. The initial investment is higher, but it secures the rights to develop multiple locations, and the development fee essentially pre-pays the franchise fees for those locations. Prospective Body20 franchisees should carefully consider their financial capacity and market potential before committing to a Development Agreement.
