What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the purpose of the compliance questionnaire is to confirm that prospective franchisees understand the terms of the Body20 Franchise Agreement and that no unauthorized statements or promises have been made to them. The questionnaire is completed before signing the Franchise Agreement.
The questionnaire includes questions such as whether the franchisee has personally read and understands all the terms of the Franchise Agreement. If the franchisee does not understand the agreement, they are prompted to specify which parts are unclear. The questionnaire also asks whether any Body20 representatives have recommended that the franchisee have the FDD and related agreements reviewed by an attorney or other professional advisor, and whether the franchisee has discussed the FDD with an advisor.
However, the questionnaire is not applicable, and should not be completed, if the franchise is to be operated in, or the franchisee is a resident of, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin. This suggests that Body20 recognizes the stricter franchise disclosure laws in these states and tailors its compliance procedures accordingly.
