What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Body20 Franchise Disclosure Document, the questionnaire includes a question asking whether the franchisee has personally read the Body20 Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). Specifically, the questionnaire asks, "Have you personally read the BODY20® Disclosure Document ('FDD')?" with options to answer "Yes" or "No".
This question is part of a broader effort to ensure that prospective Body20 franchisees understand the terms of the franchise agreement and that no unauthorized statements or promises have been made to them. The questionnaire serves as a confirmation that the franchisee has reviewed the FDD and is aware of the information it contains.
However, the FDD also states that this questionnaire is not to be completed if the offer or sale of the franchise is subject to state franchise disclosure laws in California, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin. Additionally, the acknowledgement should not be signed if the franchise is to be operated in, or the franchisee is a resident of, Maryland. Therefore, the inclusion and applicability of this question depend on the location of the franchise and the franchisee's residency.
