What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are prohibited from loading or permitting any unauthorized programs or games on any hardware included in the Technology System. The Technology System is defined as the hardware, software, other equipment, and network connections that Body20 specifies in its manuals for operating the point-of-sale system, customer relationship management system, online reservation system, and other designated technology systems.
This restriction ensures that the Technology System remains dedicated to business operations related to the Body20 studio. By preventing the installation of unauthorized programs or games, Body20 aims to maintain the integrity, security, and efficiency of its technology infrastructure. This is a common practice in franchising to protect proprietary systems and data.
Furthermore, Body20 franchisees must use the Technology System according to Body20's policies and operational procedures, transmit financial and operating data as required, and provide unrestricted access to Body20 for data downloading and transfer. Franchisees are also responsible for maintaining the Technology System in good working order and ensuring that their employees are adequately trained in its use. These requirements are designed to ensure consistent operations and data security across all Body20 franchise locations.
In addition to these requirements, Body20 franchisees must comply with all laws and payment card provider standards relating to the security of the Technology System, including the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards. This underscores the importance of data protection and regulatory compliance in the operation of a Body20 franchise.
