What This Means (2025 FDD)

The 2025 Body20 Franchise Disclosure Document does not contain an obligation chart in Item 9. Therefore, it is not possible to determine which obligation number refers to renewal of a Body20 franchise. Item 17, however, does discuss renewal and extension of the franchise term in Section 2.2 of the franchise agreement.

Item 17 indicates that if a franchisee meets certain conditions, they may obtain two additional consecutive successor terms of five years each. These conditions include notifying Body20 of the intent to renew at least six months in advance but no more than 12 months in advance. The franchisee and their Owners must sign and return the successor franchise agreement, owner's guaranty, and ancillary agreements, which may have materially different terms and conditions than the original Franchise Agreement.

Additional conditions for renewal include refurbishing or renovating the studio to Body20's then-current specifications, executing a general release in favor of Body20 and its affiliates, completing then-current training requirements, securing the right to continue operating at the site for the remainder of the successor term, fully complying with the Franchise Agreement and all other agreements, and paying the Successor Fee. A prospective franchisee should carefully review Section 2.2 of the Franchise Agreement to fully understand the requirements for renewal.
