What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must display a specific notice in their studio to inform the public about their independent contractor status. This notice must be placed in a conspicuous location within the studio or in a manner specified by Body20. The sign must state that the studio is owned and operated independently by the franchisee, who is an authorized licensed user of the Body20 marks, using language designated by Body20.
This requirement ensures that customers understand that the Body20 franchise is independently owned and operated, clarifying the relationship between the franchisee and the franchisor. It helps to avoid any potential confusion about liability or responsibility for the services provided at the studio.
Furthermore, the franchisee is obligated to include this notice or similar language specified by Body20 on all forms, advertising, promotional materials, business cards, receipts, letterheads, contracts, stationery, and other written materials designated by Body20. This comprehensive approach ensures consistent messaging and reinforces the franchisee's independent status across all customer interactions and business operations.
