What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Body20 may conduct media advertising that is local, regional, or national in scope. This gives Body20 flexibility in its advertising strategies. Body20 is not obligated to conduct any advertising or marketing programs within a franchisee's market. This means that franchisees cannot rely on Body20 to provide advertising support in their specific area.

However, franchisees are required to participate in advertising, promotional, and community outreach programs as specified by Body20, at their own expense. Franchisees must also spend at least $1,500 per month on local advertising and promotional activities, which is in addition to the Brand Fund Fee. This ensures that franchisees are actively promoting their studios in their local markets.

Franchisees need to obtain Body20's advance written approval before using any advertising or marketing materials with Body20's marks. Body20 has the final decision on all creative development of advertising and promotional messages. This allows Body20 to maintain control over its brand image and ensure consistency in advertising across all locations.

Body20 may establish Advertising Cooperatives for franchisees to promote, coordinate, and purchase advertising in local, regional, or national areas. If a franchisee joins an Advertising Cooperative, they may be required to spend additional funds on marketing programs conducted by the cooperative. This provides an opportunity for franchisees to pool their resources and benefit from larger-scale advertising campaigns.
