What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Body20 may conduct media advertising using direct mail, print, radio, Internet, or television, which can be local, regional, or national in scope. Body20 has the discretion to formulate, develop, produce, and conduct advertising or promotional programs they determine to be most effective. They can also make available for franchisees to purchase approved advertising and promotional materials.

Body20 is not obligated to conduct any advertising or marketing programs within a franchisee's specific market. This means that while national advertising is possible, franchisees cannot rely on Body20 to provide advertising support in their local area. The franchisee is responsible for local marketing, and any media advertising or direct mail marketing must be predominantly focused within the franchisee's territory, unless Body20 agrees otherwise.

Franchisees must obtain Body20's advance written approval before using any advertising or marketing materials with Body20's marks. Body20 retains final decision-making authority on all creative development of advertising and promotional messages. If written approval is not received within 14 days of submitting the material, it is considered disapproved, and Body20 can require franchisees to discontinue using any advertising or marketing materials.

Body20 also has established a Brand Fund, to which franchisees must contribute up to 4% (currently 2%) of Gross Sales. The Brand Fund can be used for advertising (media and production), branding, marketing, public relations, and promotional programs and materials that Body20 determines would benefit the Brand or the Studios generally. This includes advertising campaigns in various media, creation, maintenance, and optimization of websites, keyword purchasing programs, social media activities and direct mail advertising.
