What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Body20 has the right to interview a franchisee's landlord during a studio inspection. Specifically, Body20, through its employees or designated agents, can conduct these interviews at any time during business hours without prior notice to the franchisee.
This provision grants Body20 broad oversight capabilities, allowing them to gather information from various sources, including landlords, to assess the franchisee's compliance with the franchise agreement and operational standards. This may include verifying lease terms, confirming adherence to property regulations, or addressing any concerns the landlord might have regarding the Body20 studio's operation.
For a prospective Body20 franchisee, this means they should maintain open communication with their landlord and ensure they are in full compliance with their lease agreement and all Body20 standards. Franchisees should also be prepared for the possibility of Body20 contacting their landlord for information or to address any issues related to the studio's operation or the leased premises. This clause underscores the importance of selecting a suitable location and maintaining a positive relationship with the landlord, as it can directly impact the franchisee's business operations and relationship with Body20.
