Prior to conducting your Studio presale (which is the three-month period prior to the Studio's opening) or by such earlier deadline that we specify, your initial Required Trainees must personally attend and satisfactorily complete our Initial Training.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training fee covers initial training for the franchisee's initial required trainees, provided they all attend the same training session. The table in Item 7 shows the initial training fee is a lump sum of $2,500, payable to Body20 prior to the initial required trainees' initial training and prior to opening the studio.
However, franchisees are responsible for covering travel and related expenses, such as lodging and meals, for two people to attend the three-day initial training in Newport Beach, California. These costs are estimated to range from $1,000 to $6,000, depending on factors like point of origin and accommodation choices. If Body20 elects to provide initial training at the franchisee's studio, the franchisee must pay an additional training fee of up to $1,000 (currently $500) per trainer per day, plus cover the travel and living expenses for Body20's trainers, potentially increasing the overall initial training costs.
Furthermore, individual fitness coaches may need additional practice, coaching, or follow-up instruction based on their comprehension and readiness, which could cost up to an additional $1,000 per person. Each fitness coach must also attend Coach Onboarding, with the franchisee paying a $125 Coach Onboarding Fee for each coach. Therefore, while the initial training fee covers the basic training, franchisees should budget for these additional potential costs to ensure their staff is adequately prepared.
