What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay an initial training fee of $2,500 prior to their Required Trainees attending Initial Training. This fee covers the Initial Training for the initial Required Trainees, provided they attend the same training session. Required Trainees include the franchisee (or the Operating Principal, if the franchisee is an entity) and the Designated Manager.
If any representatives, including initial Required Trainees, attend a subsequent Initial Training session, Body20 may charge its then-current initial training fee, which will be no more than $1,000 per trainee per day. If Body20 provides any portion of Initial Training at the franchisee's studio, they may charge an additional fee of up to $1,000 per trainer per day, plus their travel and living expenses.
Body20 does not obligate itself to refund any training fees paid, in whole or in part, for any reason. The FDD also states that there is no charge for any Required Trainees to attend the initial training program, provided that they are all trained at the same time. However, this section is deleted and replaced with the terms mentioned above.
