What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial required trainees must personally attend and satisfactorily complete the Initial Training prior to conducting the Studio presale, which is the three-month period prior to the Studio's opening. However, Body20 can specify an earlier deadline. The initial training fee covers training for the initial required trainees, provided they attend the same training session.
This means that as a prospective Body20 franchisee, you need to ensure that your initial team is fully trained before you start any pre-sales activities. This is a critical step as the success of your pre-sales can significantly impact your studio's initial revenue and overall success. Failing to meet the required minimum number of pre-opening members and/or paid membership sales (at least 100 members and/or memberships that will generate at least $20,000 in recurring monthly Gross Sales) may lead to the termination of the Franchise Agreement.
Therefore, franchisees should coordinate closely with Body20 to schedule the initial training well in advance of the studio's planned opening and pre-sale period. This will allow sufficient time for the trainees to complete the program and be fully prepared to represent the Body20 brand and sell memberships. Franchisees should also factor in potential additional costs, such as travel and lodging for the trainees, to ensure a smooth and successful training experience.
