Answer from 2025 FDD Document

If we require you to use any proprietary software or to purchase any software from a designated vendor, you must execute and pay any fees associated with any software license agreements or any related software maintenance agreements that we or the licensor of the software require. You must replace, upgrade, or update at your expense the Technology System as we may require periodically without limitation. We will establish reasonable deadlines for implementation of any changes to our Technology System requirements.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for executing and paying any fees associated with software license agreements if Body20 requires the use of proprietary software or the purchase of software from a designated vendor. This includes any related software maintenance agreements that Body20 or the licensor of the software requires.

This means that as a Body20 franchisee, you must budget for these technology costs. You are obligated to acquire, maintain, and use the hardware, software, and network connections that Body20 specifies in its manuals to operate the Technology System. This system includes the point-of-sale system, customer relationship management system, and online reservation system.

Furthermore, the franchisee is responsible for replacing, upgrading, or updating the Technology System at their own expense as Body20 may require periodically. Body20 will establish reasonable deadlines for implementing any changes to the Technology System requirements. This ensures that all franchisees operate on a uniform and up-to-date technology platform, but it also places the financial burden of these updates on the franchisee.
