  • (b) Use of the Manuals. You agree to keep your copy of the Manuals up-to-date. If there is any dispute as to the current contents of the Manuals, the terms of our master copy maintained at our headquarters will control. You acknowledge that we own the copyright in the Manuals and that your copy of the Manuals remains our property and will be returned to us immediately upon expiration or termination of this Agreement. You will treat the Manuals, and the information contained therein, as confidential and will maintain the confidentiality of such information. You will not, without our prior written consent, copy, duplicate, record, use, or otherwise reproduce in any way the Manuals, in whole or in part, or otherwise make their contents available to any unauthorized person, except as provided in Section 10 (Proprietary Information).

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if there is a disagreement about the current content of the Body20 Manuals, the master copy maintained at Body20 headquarters will be the controlling reference.

The Body20 manuals contain the System Standards that franchisees must follow. Body20 retains the right to modify or supplement the manuals at any time, provided that such changes are made in good faith and benefit Body20 and its franchisees or improve the overall system. Franchisees are required to comply with these revisions within 30 days of receiving the updated information, unless otherwise specified.

Franchisees are responsible for keeping their copy of the manuals up-to-date and must treat the manuals and the information within them as confidential. Franchisees are not allowed to copy, duplicate, record, use, or reproduce the manuals without prior written consent from Body20, except as provided in Section 10 (Proprietary Information). Upon termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, the franchisee must return the manuals to Body20, as Body20 retains ownership of the copyright.
