What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must conduct all sessions in accordance with the Body20 system. Any sessions that franchisees or their fitness coaches develop must align with the system standards that Body20 specifies. If Body20 disapproves of any sessions that a franchisee offers, the franchisee must immediately stop offering the session or modify it according to Body20's instructions. This ensures that all Body20 studios maintain a consistent brand experience and service quality.
This requirement gives Body20 significant control over the services offered at each franchise location. It protects the brand's reputation by ensuring that all sessions meet Body20's standards. Franchisees need to be aware that they cannot offer any session they create without prior approval from Body20.
For a prospective franchisee, this means understanding and adhering to Body20's system standards is crucial. Franchisees should be prepared to modify or discontinue any session that does not meet Body20's approval. This restriction is common in franchising, where maintaining brand consistency is a priority for franchisors. Franchisees should inquire about the specific criteria Body20 uses to evaluate and approve new sessions to avoid potential conflicts or delays.
