What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must conduct all sessions in accordance with the Body20 System. Franchisees must offer any sessions that Body20 deems mandatory. Any sessions that franchisees or their fitness coaches develop must align with the System Standards that Body20 specifies. If Body20 disapproves of any sessions that a franchisee offers, the franchisee must immediately stop offering the session or modify it according to Body20's instructions. This ensures that all Body20 studios maintain a consistent brand experience and service quality.

This requirement means that franchisees have limited flexibility in creating their own training programs or deviating from the established Body20 method. While franchisees can develop new sessions, these must be consistent with Body20's standards, and Body20 retains the right to disapprove and require changes to any session. This control allows Body20 to maintain uniformity across all franchise locations, which is a common practice in franchising to ensure brand consistency and customer expectations are met.

For a prospective Body20 franchisee, this means adhering strictly to the training protocols and session formats outlined in the Body20 System. While there is room for innovation, all new session ideas are subject to franchisor approval. This is a critical aspect to consider, as it impacts the franchisee's ability to customize offerings based on local market demands or personal training philosophies. Franchisees should be prepared to implement the Body20 System as prescribed and be receptive to feedback and required modifications from the franchisor.
