Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We impose no restriction on the retail customers that you may serve at your Studio, but you may not make any sales of products or services outside of the Studio, conduct Sessions or programs outside of the Studio, or use vendor relationships that you establish through your association with us or the Brand for any other purpose besides the operation of the Studio, unless we consent in writing.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is restricted in how they can use vendor relationships established through their association with Body20. Specifically, a Body20 franchisee may not use vendor relationships established through their association with Body20 or the Brand for any purpose besides the operation of the Studio, unless Body20 consents in writing. This restriction is in place to protect Body20's relationships with its vendors and to ensure that franchisees are focused on operating their studios according to the Body20 system.

This restriction has practical implications for a prospective Body20 franchisee. It means that if a franchisee develops a relationship with a vendor through Body20, they cannot leverage that relationship for personal gain or for any business venture outside of their Body20 studio without explicit written permission from Body20. For example, a franchisee cannot use a Body20-approved equipment supplier to furnish a personal gym or another business they own.

This type of restriction is common in franchising, as franchisors want to maintain control over their brand and vendor relationships. It ensures consistency across the franchise system and prevents franchisees from potentially exploiting vendor relationships to the detriment of the brand. A prospective franchisee should carefully consider this restriction and ensure they are comfortable with it before investing in a Body20 franchise. It is important to understand the scope of the restriction and to seek clarification from Body20 if there are any questions or concerns.
