What is a Body20 franchisee required to provide to the franchisor regarding pricing upon request?

Body20 Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

If we determine that we may lawfully require you to charge certain prices for goods or services, certain minimum prices for goods or services, or certain maximum prices for goods or services, you must adhere to our pricing policies as set forth in the Manuals or otherwise in writing from time to time. If we set a suggested retail price for a good or service, we may prohibit you from advertising any other prices for such goods or services. Except as provided above and in Section 6.10(a) of the Franchise Agreement (Promotional Programs and Reciprocity), you are solely responsible for determining the prices that you charge customers. You must provide us with your current price list upon our request. (Franchise Agreement - Section 6.7)

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to provide their current price list to the franchisor upon request. While franchisees are generally responsible for setting their own prices for goods and services, Body20 retains the right to mandate certain prices, minimum prices, or maximum prices if legally permissible. These pricing policies would be detailed in the manuals or in writing.

Furthermore, if Body20 sets a suggested retail price for a good or service, franchisees may be prohibited from advertising any other prices for that good or service. This suggests that Body20 aims to maintain some level of price consistency across its franchise network, while also allowing franchisees some autonomy in pricing decisions.

This requirement ensures that Body20 can monitor pricing strategies across its franchise locations and potentially enforce pricing policies if deemed necessary. For a prospective franchisee, this means being prepared to share pricing information with Body20 and potentially adhering to specific pricing guidelines or restrictions set by the franchisor.
