What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must participate in all in-Studio promotional programs that the franchisor offers. This includes following Body20's guidelines for accepting and reimbursing gift certificates, gift cards, coupons, corporate discounts, and other promotional programs as detailed in the manuals or in writing. Franchisees are not allowed to accept gift certificates, gift cards, or coupons (including Groupons and similar discounts) unless they are approved or offered by Body20 or its affiliates. This ensures consistent brand promotion and customer experience across all franchise locations.

This requirement means that a Body20 franchisee needs to budget time and resources to implement these promotional programs. It also reduces the franchisee's flexibility to create their own promotions or opt out of those deemed unsuitable for their specific market. However, participating in these programs can drive customer traffic and increase revenue, as these promotions are designed to attract and retain members.

Furthermore, Body20 mandates adherence to policies regarding member reciprocity among different studios, including those within the franchise systems of other brands owned or licensed by Body20 or its affiliates. This reciprocity ensures that members can access services across various locations, enhancing the value of their membership and potentially attracting a broader customer base. Franchisees must stay informed about and comply with these policies to maintain consistency and quality across the Body20 network.
