You must pay us our then-current fee for each fitness coach attending Coach Onboarding (the "Coach Onboarding Fee"). Currently, the Coach Onboarding Fee is $125 for each attending coach, plus up to an additional $1,000 per coach that we determine, in our sole discretion, requires supplemental training. We may increase the Coach Onboarding Fee periodically, provided that it will not exceed $500 for each coach, plus up to $2,000 for any coach requiring supplemental training.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Body20 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must ensure that their studio employees comply with all applicable training and certification requirements. Body20 may impose these requirements through the manuals or otherwise, and may include attending and completing a fitness certification course through an accredited program that is nationally or internationally recognized. Examples of such programs include the National Academy of Sports Medicine, the American Council on Exercise, or the International Sports Sciences Association. Body20 may also provide this training through their online training university, or any training required or recommended by their approved third-party equipment suppliers. The franchisee is responsible for the costs associated with these training and certification requirements.
In addition to the general requirement for compliance with training and certification, Body20 also mandates that each individual providing fitness coaching at the studio attend and successfully complete their coach onboarding program before providing any fitness coaching. This program, referred to as "Coach Onboarding," must be completed every two years. As of the effective date of the FDD, Coach Onboarding generally comprises five days of in-person training and 15 hours of online instruction. The franchisee must pay Body20 a fee for each fitness coach attending Coach Onboarding, which is currently $125 per coach, plus up to an additional $1,000 per coach if Body20 determines supplemental training is required. Body20 retains the right to increase the Coach Onboarding Fee periodically, but it will not exceed $500 for each coach, plus up to $2,000 for any coach requiring supplemental training.
These stipulations ensure that all Body20 employees are adequately trained and certified to deliver the services offered, maintaining the brand's standards and quality. For a prospective franchisee, this means budgeting for ongoing training and certification expenses for all employees. It also highlights the importance of staying updated with any new training or certification requirements that Body20 may introduce in the future. Failing to comply with these requirements could result in a breach of the franchise agreement and potential penalties.
