What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee can change their mailing address by providing notice to the franchisor. The FDD specifies that notices to either party, whether from the franchisor to the franchisee or vice versa, must be sent to the addresses detailed in Appendix A of the franchise agreement.
This provision ensures that all official communications between Body20 and its franchisees are properly directed and received. By allowing either party to update their mailing address with a simple notice, the franchise agreement maintains flexibility and accuracy in correspondence. This is particularly important for time-sensitive or legally significant communications.
The FDD also clarifies how notices are deemed to be received. Notices are considered received on the same day if delivered personally, or upon attempted delivery if sent via registered or certified mail or an overnight delivery service. For routine, day-to-day operational requests and communications, email is an acceptable method of communication, provided it is sent to the addresses specified by the receiving party.
This clause is a standard inclusion in franchise agreements to ensure clear and reliable communication channels between the franchisor and franchisee. Prospective Body20 franchisees should ensure they understand the proper procedures for sending and receiving notices, as outlined in the franchise agreement and its appendices, to maintain compliance and effective communication with Body20.
