What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the estimated cost for the Technology System ranges from $3,800 to $7,500. This cost includes the hardware, software licenses, related equipment, and network connections, as well as installation costs. The Technology System typically includes a desktop computer, a laptop computer, two tablets, a printer, TV display components, a scanner, a credit card reader, related accessories, and the required point-of-sale system. All components must be purchased from Body20's approved vendors.
In addition to the initial cost, franchisees must pay ongoing technology fees. Beginning three months before the studio opens, a Technology Fee of $1,060 per month is payable to Body20 for technology-related services. Franchisees must also pay MindBody, the approved POS system vendor, a license fee currently set at $599 per month.
While Body20 does not currently require franchisees to enter into maintenance, updating, upgrading, or support contracts for the Technology System, vendors may offer optional contracts estimated to cost around $2,500 per year. Franchisees are responsible for ensuring the Technology System is properly operated, maintained, and upgraded. Failure to do so can result in consequences for which the franchisee is liable. Body20 also requires unrestricted access to the Technology System at all times, with no contractual limitations on their right to access data stored within the system.
