What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the development fee is required if a franchisee enters into a Development Agreement to develop multiple studios. This fee is equal to 100% of the aggregate of all Franchise Fees due for each studio the franchisee agrees to develop. The Development Fee will range between $165,000 to $350,000 if the franchisee commits to developing between three to 10 studios. This fee is due upon signing the Development Agreement.

The Development Fee is credited towards the Franchise Fee due for each studio developed under the Development Agreement. This means that franchisees will not have to pay an additional Franchise Fee under each Franchise Agreement signed under the terms of the Development Agreement.

For prospective Body20 franchisees considering opening multiple locations, understanding the Development Fee is crucial for financial planning. It represents a significant upfront investment but also secures the rights to develop multiple studios within a defined territory. This structure is common in franchising, as it incentivizes multi-unit development and allows the franchisor to plan for expansion more effectively.
