How does Body20 determine the specifics of the Initial Training program?

Training
Initial Training. Your Required Trainees must personally attend and satisfactorily complete our Initial Training at least 30 days before the earlier of the date you open the Studio or the Opening Deadline (or by such earlier deadline that we specify). We will determine the length, timing, location, and substance of Initial Training in our sole discretion. We will provide Initial Training as soon as practicable after the execution and delivery of the Franchise Agreement at our offices, at any other location that we designate, and/or remotely via recorded media, teleconference, videoconference, the internet, webinar, or any other means as we determine.
Currently, we conduct Initial Training as often as needed to train new franchisees; there is no set frequency for Initial Training. We may periodically identify certain limited time periods during which we will not offer Initial Training.
Currently, we provide four days of in-person training at our office and approximately four days of virtual training through online modules. We may waive a portion of Initial Training or alter the training schedule if we determine that your Required Trainees have sufficient prior experience or training or have previously been trained at one of our Studios.
We will provide instructors, facilities, and materials for Initial Training for your Required Trainees as part of the Franchise Fee, as long as all of your trainees are trained during the same training session. We reserve the right, however, to charge a training fee of up to $1,000 (currently,
$500) per trainee per day for each person who attends a subsequent Initial Training program, including (a) each person who is repeating the course or replacing a person who did not pass, and (b) each subsequent Operating Principal, Designated Manager, or employee who at

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Body20 retains full discretion in determining the specifics of the Initial Training program. This includes the length, timing, location, and substance of the training. The Initial Training must be completed by the franchisee's Required Trainees at least 30 days before the studio opens or by an earlier deadline specified by Body20.
Body20 will provide the Initial Training as soon as practical after the Franchise Agreement is executed. The training can take place at Body20's offices, another designated location, or remotely through various media such as recorded media, teleconferences, videoconferences, the internet, or webinars. Currently, Body20 conducts four days of in-person training at their office and approximately four days of virtual training through online modules. However, Body20 may periodically identify limited time periods during which they will not offer Initial Training.
Body20 may waive a portion of the Initial Training or alter the schedule if the Required Trainees have sufficient prior experience or training, or have been previously trained at one of their studios. The instructors, facilities, and materials for the Initial Training are provided as part of the Franchise Fee, as long as all trainees are trained during the same session. However, Body20 reserves the right to charge a training fee of up to $1,000 (currently, $500) per trainee per day for subsequent training programs, such as when a trainee repeats the course or a new Operating Principal, Designated Manager, or employee attends the course. If Body20 elects to provide Initial Training at the franchisee's studio, the franchisee must pay an additional training fee of up to $1,000 (currently, $500) per trainer per day.
The Senior Director of Training and Education, Kai Saks, supervises the Initial Training and other training programs. Other executives with subject matter expertise, including the Director of Fitness, Sydney Maddox, will participate in portions of Initial Training. The Manuals, PowerPoints, and various training guides and materials serve as instructional materials.
