What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay a Technology Fee starting three months before their studio opens. The current Technology Fee is $1,060 per month. In addition to this fee, franchisees must also pay MindBody, Body20's approved POS system vendor, a license fee of $599 per month. These technology-related fees are mandatory for Body20 franchisees.
This means that a Body20 franchisee will incur a total monthly expense of $1,659 for technology-related fees alone, comprising the $1,060 Technology Fee payable to Body20 and the $599 MindBody license fee. These fees are in addition to the initial investment in the Technology System, which Body20 estimates will cost between $3,800 and $7,500. The Technology System includes hardware, software licenses, related equipment, and network connections, including installation costs.
It is important to note that the franchisee is responsible for maintaining the Technology System in good working order at their own expense and ensuring that their employees are adequately trained in its use. Furthermore, Body20 retains unrestricted access to the Technology System, including user IDs and passwords, to download and transfer data. Franchisees must also comply with all laws and payment card provider standards related to the security of the Technology System.
