What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Rhode Island Rider specifies the definitions of "we," "us," and "our." These terms refer to Body20 Franchisor LLC, the company offering the franchise. This clarification is important for interpreting the agreement, as it establishes who is making commitments and has obligations within the Rider. The Rider is made between Body20 Franchisor LLC and the franchisee.

Understanding these definitions is crucial for a franchisee in Rhode Island because it clarifies the roles and responsibilities outlined in the franchise agreement and the Rider. The Rider is signed because the franchisee is domiciled in Rhode Island or the Body20 studio will be located there, and/or any of the offering or sales activity relating to the Franchise Agreement occurred in Rhode Island. This ensures that the franchisee understands who "we," "us," and "our" refers to when reading through the legal documents.

Knowing that "we," "us," and "our" refers to Body20 Franchisor LLC helps the franchisee understand to whom the provisions of the agreement apply. For example, if a section of the Rider states, "We will provide training," the franchisee knows that Body20 Franchisor LLC is responsible for providing that training. Similarly, "you" and "your" refers to the franchisee.
