What does the Body20 Coach Onboarding currently comprise?
Body20 Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Coach Onboarding. In addition to satisfying our eligibility criteria, as stated in our Manuals, each individual who will be providing fitness coaching at the Studio must attend and successfully complete Coach Onboarding before providing any fitness coaching at the Studio. (If a fitness coach has already completed Coach Onboarding in connection with another Studio within the prior two years, that coach is not required to attend the program at that time; however, each coach is required to attend the then-current Coach Onboarding every two years.) Coach Onboarding currently comprises five days of in-person training at a Studio that we designate (which may be outside of your market and require your coach candidates to travel) and 15 hours of online instruction. Coach Onboarding is not intended to compensate for any gap in a candidate's foundational education or qualifications, as stated in our Manuals. Coach Onboarding includes instructional videos, online coursework, and a digital training manual specifically developed for new coaches. To complete Coach Onboarding, each coach must submit a video demonstrating key instruction and coaching competencies. Our team will review the video and provide feedback. A satisfactory evaluation is required to complete the coach's onboarding process.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Coach Onboarding is a mandatory training program for all fitness coaches before they can provide coaching services at a Body20 studio. If a coach has completed the onboarding within the prior two years at another Body20 location, they are not required to attend immediately but must attend the current program every two years. This ensures all coaches stay up-to-date with Body20's training standards.
The Coach Onboarding program currently includes five days of in-person training at a Body20-designated studio, which may require travel for the coach candidates. In addition to the in-person training, there are 15 hours of online instruction. The program uses instructional videos, online coursework, and a digital training manual specifically designed for new coaches.
To successfully complete the Body20 Coach Onboarding, each coach must submit a video demonstrating key instruction and coaching competencies. Body20's team will review the video and provide feedback, and a satisfactory evaluation is required for the coach to complete the onboarding process. The FDD specifies that the Coach Onboarding is not designed to compensate for gaps in a candidate's foundational education or qualifications, meaning Body20 expects candidates to already possess a base level of fitness knowledge.
