What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Body20 has the right to periodically change the specifications for products and services offered at its studios. Specifically, Body20 may designate specific products or services as optional or mandatory, and franchisees must offer all products, services, or sessions that Body20 designates as mandatory. Furthermore, franchisees can only sell products and services in the varieties, forms, and packages that Body20 has approved in accordance with their System Standards. Franchisees must also maintain a sufficient supply of required products to meet the inventory standards prescribed in the manuals.
This means that as a Body20 franchisee, you must stay updated on any changes to the approved products, services, and sessions, and adjust your offerings accordingly. You are obligated to offer any products or services that Body20 designates as mandatory, and you must adhere to the approved forms and packages for selling these items. This ensures consistency across all Body20 studios and helps maintain the brand's standards.
Body20 also has the right to require that products, supplies, operating assets, and services that franchisees purchase for resale or use in their studio meet specifications that Body20 establishes from time to time. These items may need to be a specific brand, kind, or model and be purchased or leased only from suppliers or service providers that Body20 has expressly approved or designated. These requirements will be published in the manuals. If Body20 revokes approval of a previously approved product, service, or session, franchisees must discontinue offering the service or sessions immediately and may only sell the remaining inventory of the product for up to 30 days following the disapproval, or a shorter period if Body20 deems it necessary to protect their reputation. After this period, the franchisee must dispose of the remaining inventory as directed by Body20.
As a prospective franchisee, it is important to understand that Body20 retains significant control over the products and services you can offer, as well as the suppliers you can use. This control helps maintain brand consistency and quality but also limits your autonomy in choosing products and services. You should carefully review the manuals and any written communications from Body20 to stay informed about any changes to these specifications and requirements.
