What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Body20's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are restricted in using vendor relationships established through their association with Body20 for purposes outside of the Studio's operation. Specifically, franchisees are only allowed to use these vendor relationships to procure products or equipment intended for use or retail sale within the Studio. This restriction applies during the term of the Franchise Agreement.
This provision ensures that vendor relationships, cultivated through the Body20 network, are exclusively utilized to benefit the franchise system. It prevents franchisees from leveraging these relationships for personal gain or for ventures that do not directly support the Studio. This restriction is in place to protect the integrity of the Body20 brand and maintain a consistent supply chain for all franchisees.
Furthermore, Body20 requires written consent for any sales of products or services outside of the Studio, conducting sessions or programs outside of the Studio, or using vendor relationships for purposes beyond the Studio's operation. This requirement underscores Body20's control over how its brand and resources are utilized, ensuring that all activities align with the company's strategic objectives. A franchisee must seek and obtain explicit approval from Body20 before engaging in any activities that fall outside the standard operation of the Studio, as outlined in the franchise agreement.
In practical terms, a Body20 franchisee cannot, for example, use a vendor contact obtained through the franchise to start a separate business or to supply products to another fitness studio without express written permission from Body20. This restriction is in place to protect the Body20 system and ensure that all vendor relationships benefit the franchise as a whole.
