What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Black Bear Diner Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchise Agreement is included as an exhibit. Item 1 of the FDD states that the Black Bear Diner grants franchises to individuals or entities for the operation of a single Black Bear Diner restaurant under the terms of their Franchise Agreement, which is attached to the disclosure document as Exhibit B.
Furthermore, the receipt page of the disclosure document, as detailed in Item 23, lists the exhibits included with the FDD. Exhibit B is specifically identified as the Franchise Agreement. This confirms that prospective franchisees receive a copy of the Franchise Agreement along with the FDD, allowing them to review the terms and conditions before making a decision.
For prospective Black Bear Diner franchisees, this means they have the opportunity to carefully examine the legal obligations, fees, and responsibilities outlined in the Franchise Agreement before committing to the franchise. Reviewing this document is a crucial step in the due diligence process, and it is recommended that potential franchisees consult with a legal professional to fully understand the implications of the agreement.
