What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Black Bear Diner's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees have the authority to set their own prices for products and services. However, Black Bear Diner can suggest menu item pricing policies where allowed by law.
Black Bear Diner also retains the right to establish maximum rates and prices for marketing and promotions, provided it is legally permissible. This means that while franchisees have freedom in setting day-to-day prices, Black Bear Diner can control pricing related to specific promotional campaigns.
This policy allows Black Bear Diner to maintain brand consistency and manage customer expectations during promotional periods, while still giving franchisees flexibility in their pricing strategies. Franchisees should stay informed about any suggested pricing policies or maximum rates set by Black Bear Diner for marketing and promotions to ensure compliance and maximize profitability.
