What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Bigfoot Forestry Franchise Disclosure Document, before opening a franchise, the Managing Owner and Project Manager (if applicable) must successfully complete initial training. The Managing Owner must be approved by Bigfoot Forestry and successfully complete all training programs that Bigfoot Forestry requires. If the franchisee hires a Project Manager, that Project Manager must also successfully complete all additional training programs Bigfoot Forestry requires for a Project Manager. Additionally, any person appointed as a Service Technician must successfully complete all training programs that Bigfoot Forestry requires for Service Technicians.

Bigfoot Forestry will not issue authorization to open the franchise until the Managing Owner and Project Manager (if applicable) successfully complete initial training. The Managing Owner must dedicate either full-time efforts to the business (if adhering to an owner-operator model) or commercially reasonable efforts to the Business (if hiring a Project Manager).

Prospective franchisees should carefully consider the time commitment and costs associated with these training requirements, as they are mandatory for opening the franchise. Franchisees should also inquire about the content, duration, and location of the training programs to adequately prepare themselves and their staff. Understanding the training obligations is crucial for a smooth and successful launch of the Bigfoot Forestry franchise.
