What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there are currently no known infringements of their proprietary information. However, Bigfoot Forestry states that if a franchisee discovers any unauthorized use of their proprietary information or copyrighted materials, the franchisee must promptly notify them.
Bigfoot Forestry retains the right, but not the obligation, to act on such notifications as they deem appropriate. The franchise agreement stipulates that franchisees cannot control any legal proceedings related to unauthorized use of Bigfoot Forestry's proprietary information.
Furthermore, Bigfoot Forestry is not obligated to cover any expenses or damages a franchisee might incur due to such legal proceedings. This means that while franchisees are required to report any potential infringements, they bear the risk of any associated costs without a guarantee of support or compensation from Bigfoot Forestry.
