What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, prior to opening their business, franchisees must set up their office and acquire and install all required Technology Systems. The FDD defines "Technology Systems" as all information and communication technology systems that Bigfoot Forestry specifies from time to time. These include, but are not limited to, computer systems, point-of-sale systems, telecommunications systems, order dispatch systems, security systems, and similar systems. The definition also encompasses the associated hardware, software (including cloud-based software), related equipment, software applications, mobile apps, and third-party services relating to the establishment, use, maintenance, monitoring, security, or improvement of these systems.

This means a prospective Bigfoot Forestry franchisee needs to budget not only for the initial purchase and installation of these systems but also for ongoing maintenance, updates, and potential third-party service fees. The franchisee must ensure that their chosen office space is suitable for the installation and operation of these technology systems, including considerations for internet connectivity, power supply, and security.

It is important for a prospective franchisee to discuss with Bigfoot Forestry the specific technology systems required, the approved vendors, and the costs associated with each system to fully understand the financial and operational implications. Understanding these requirements is crucial for a smooth launch and efficient operation of the Bigfoot Forestry franchise.
