What are the storage requirements for equipment and tools for a Bigfoot Forestry franchisee?

Bigfoot_Forestry Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We expect franchisees will operate from a home office. You do not need our approval of your home office and you may relocate your home office at any time. You must notify us of the address of your new home office at least 30 days before you relocate. Although you may operate from a home office, you will need adequate storage space to store your equipment and tools. You may store these items at your home if you have sufficient space. Otherwise you must rent commercial storage space. We must approve the site of any commercial storage facility where you propose to store your equipment and tools. However, the storage facility is not required to be located in your territory.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are expected to operate from a home office, but must have adequate storage for equipment and tools. Franchisees can store these items at their home if they have sufficient space. If home storage is not feasible, franchisees must rent commercial storage space.

Bigfoot Forestry requires approval of the site of any commercial storage facility used for equipment and tools. However, the storage facility is not required to be located within the franchisee's territory.

This requirement ensures that all Bigfoot Forestry franchisees have a secure and appropriate location for storing equipment, which is essential for maintaining the quality and professionalism of services. The flexibility of using either home storage or a commercial facility allows franchisees to choose the most suitable option based on their individual circumstances and resources. The franchisor's approval of commercial storage sites helps maintain brand standards and ensures the equipment is stored safely and appropriately.
