The franchised business offered under this Disclosure Document is for a Bigfoot Forestry Business, which is a business that provides professional land management services to residential and commercial property owners, including forestry mulching and related services. Related services may include land clearing, stump grinding, geological test trail clearing, demolition, snow removal (in certain parts of the country) and other services that we designate or approve from time to time. We refer to these authorized services as "Bigfoot Forestry Services". Bigfoot Forestry Businesses provide these services in a professional and efficient manner utilizing top-of-theline construction equipment. The individuals who travel to job sites to perform Bigfoot Forestry Services are referred to as "Service Technicians". Franchisees operate from a home office but may need to rent commercial space to store operating equipment and tools.
If we award you a franchise, you must sign the form of franchise agreement attached to this Disclosure Document as EXHIBIT "C" (the "Franchise Agreement"). We refer to the franchised business you purchase as your "Business" or your "Bigfoot Forestry Business". The Franchise Agreement grants you a license to use certain service marks, trademarks, trade names and logos, including the service mark BIGFOOT FORESTRY® and related logos (collectively, the "Marks"). The Marks also include our distinctive trade dress used to identify a Bigfoot Forestry Business, the equipment it uses or the products or services it sells. The Franchise Agreement also grants you a license to use our system that was developed for the operation of a Bigfoot Forestry Business (the "System"). Our confidential Brand Standards Manual (the "Manual") describes the operational aspects of a Bigfoot Forestry Business.
