What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for the travel expenses incurred to attend training. Specifically, the franchisee is responsible for all wages and travel expenses for themselves and their personnel to attend any training programs.
Bigfoot Forestry does not charge any additional fees for the initial pre-opening training program, system-wide refresher, or supplemental training courses. However, Bigfoot Forestry may charge a training fee of up to $500 per person per day for initial training after the business opens, retraining after failing a prior attempt, remedial training, or additional training requested by the franchisee.
In addition to training, Bigfoot Forestry may host periodic conferences to discuss business and operational matters. Attendance at these conferences is mandatory unless attendance is designated as optional or the obligation to attend is waived for good cause. Franchisees are responsible for wages and travel expenses for themselves and their personnel to attend these conferences. Bigfoot Forestry may charge a conference registration fee of up to $1,000 per person per conference, which the franchisee is still responsible for even if they fail to attend a required conference without a waiver.
