What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for the costs associated with maintaining their computer systems. The initial investment for the computer system is estimated to be between $1,500 and $1,800, which includes $600 for a pre-configured laptop that must be purchased from Bigfoot Forestry's affiliate as part of the Startup Package.

In addition to the initial cost, franchisees must pay a technology fee of $350 per month, which totals $4,200 annually. This technology fee covers the cost of the franchisee's Microsoft 365 account, including two email addresses and accounts, one Microsoft Teams Number, and technology support. This fee is ongoing and is required for the duration of the Franchise Agreement.

Bigfoot Forestry requires franchisees to purchase and use designated Technology Systems, which currently include a laptop, mobile smart phone, printer, CRM, Microsoft 365, Lead Connector, and QuickBooks Online accounting software. While the franchisor provides technology support as part of the monthly fee, the franchisee is responsible for ensuring that their computer system meets the franchisor's requirements and for any costs associated with upgrading or replacing components of the system. The franchisor retains the right to change the components of the Technology Systems from time to time, which may require the franchisee to incur additional costs to maintain compliance.
