What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may operate their business from a home office and use their home as a storage facility under certain conditions. Specifically, the home must have adequate storage space for operating equipment and tools.

Additionally, if the franchisee rents their home, the lease must not prohibit the storage of equipment on the property. Similarly, if the franchisee is part of a homeowners association, the association's rules, CC&Rs (Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions), or other regulations must not restrict the use of the property for equipment storage.

If a franchisee's home cannot serve as the storage facility, they must rent suitable space from a commercial storage facility and obtain Bigfoot Forestry's approval. Once approved, the franchisee must not store their equipment or tools at any other commercial storage facility without prior approval from Bigfoot Forestry. Bigfoot Forestry will issue a Storage Facility Approval Notice to confirm their approval of the proposed storage facility.
