What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bigfoot Forestry Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees have the opportunity to renew their franchise agreement if they meet certain conditions. If these conditions are met, a franchisee can enter into two consecutive successor franchise agreements, each lasting for a term of 5 years. Any further renewals beyond these two terms are subject to mutual agreement between Bigfoot Forestry and the franchisee; however, neither party is obligated to agree to additional renewals.
To be eligible for renewal, a Bigfoot Forestry franchisee must not be in default of their existing agreement. They must also provide timely notice of their intent to renew, and they are required to sign the then-current form of the franchise agreement, which may contain materially different terms and conditions than the original agreement. Another key requirement for renewal is that franchisees must upgrade their Technology Systems, operating equipment, and tools to meet Bigfoot Forestry's standards at the time of renewal.
