Websites, Social Media and Digital Advertising

We will maintain a corporate website to promote our brand. We will also create and host a local webpage for your Business that will: (a) be linked to our corporate website; and (b) list information about your Business that we deem appropriate, such as address, contact information and hours of operation. We can modify or discontinue our website and/or your local webpage at any time.

Except for the webpage we provide, you may not: (a) develop, host, or otherwise maintain a website (or other digital presence) bearing our Marks; (b) utilize the Internet to conduct digital or online advertising; or (c) engage in ecommerce. However, we do permit you to market your Business through approved social media channels, subject to the following requirements:

  • you may only conduct social media utilizing social media platforms we approve

  • you must strictly comply with our social media policy, as revised from time to time

  • you must obtain our approval of all social media posts prior to posting

  • we may require that you contract with and utilize a social media company we designate

  • you must provide us with full administrator rights to your social media accounts

  • we must retain ownership of all social media accounts relating to your Business

Advertising Cooperatives

We may, but need not, establish regional advertising cooperatives for purposes of pooling advertising funds to be used in discrete regions. We will determine the boundaries of the cooperative. In most instances, the boundaries will coincide with zip codes, designated marketing areas or municipal boundaries.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bigfoot Forestry will maintain a corporate website to promote their brand and will also create and host a local webpage for your specific Bigfoot Forestry business. This local webpage will be linked to the corporate website and will include information about your business, such as the address, contact information, and hours of operation, as Bigfoot Forestry deems appropriate. However, Bigfoot Forestry can modify or discontinue the corporate website and/or your local webpage at any time.

Beyond the webpage that Bigfoot Forestry provides, as a franchisee, you are restricted from developing, hosting, or maintaining your own website or digital presence that uses Bigfoot Forestry's marks. You are also prohibited from using the internet for digital or online advertising or engaging in e-commerce, with the exception of marketing your business through approved social media channels, provided you adhere to Bigfoot Forestry's requirements and policies.

Bigfoot Forestry requires you to contract with their designated SEO marketing company, with a monthly digital marketing fee of $475. In return, this company provides SEO and Google business management services, ongoing webpage optimization, monthly analytics reporting, and monthly marketing coaching calls. The initial pre-opening payment of $475 is credited toward your minimum $2,500 grand opening marketing expenditure, and all subsequent digital marketing fees are credited toward your Local Marketing Commitment.

As a Bigfoot Forestry franchisee, you have the option to develop your own advertising and marketing materials and programs, but they must be approved by Bigfoot Forestry before you can use them. This includes the media you intend to use for advertising. You are not allowed to use any advertising materials, programs, or media that have not been approved by Bigfoot Forestry.
