Does Bigfoot Forestry require franchisees to operate from a specific location?
Bigfoot_Forestry Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Location of Franchised Business
We expect franchisees will operate from a home office. You do not need our approval of your home office and you may relocate your home office at any time. You must notify us of the address of your new home office at least 30 days before you relocate. Although you may operate from a home office, you will need adequate storage space to store your equipment and tools. You may store these items at your home if you have sufficient space. Otherwise you must rent commercial storage space. We must approve the site of any commercial storage facility where you propose to store your equipment and tools. However, the storage facility is not required to be located in your territory.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are expected to operate from a home office. Bigfoot Forestry does not require approval of the home office location, and franchisees can relocate their home office at any time, provided they notify Bigfoot Forestry of the new address at least 30 days before relocating.
While a specific location for the primary business operation is not mandated, Bigfoot Forestry franchisees must have adequate storage space for equipment and tools. This storage can be at the franchisee's home if sufficient space is available. If not, the franchisee must rent commercial storage space.
Bigfoot Forestry requires approval of the site of any commercial storage facility used for equipment and tools, although the storage facility does not need to be within the franchisee's designated territory. This flexibility in storage location, combined with the home office setup, provides franchisees with some operational freedom while ensuring equipment is stored appropriately.
