Does Bigfoot Forestry require approval of a franchisee's home office location?

Bigfoot_Forestry Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We expect franchisees will operate from a home office. You do not need our approval of your home office and you may relocate your home office at any time. You must notify us of the address of your new home office at least 30 days before you relocate. Although you may operate from a home office, you will need adequate storage space to store your equipment and tools. You may store these items at your home if you have sufficient space. Otherwise you must rent commercial storage space. We must approve the site of any commercial storage facility where you propose to store your equipment and tools. However, the storage facility is not required to be located in your territory.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bigfoot Forestry's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees do not need approval for their home office location. Franchisees can relocate their home office at any time, but they must notify Bigfoot Forestry of the new address at least 30 days before relocating.

While franchisees can operate from a home office, they must have adequate storage space for equipment and tools. If there is sufficient space at the franchisee's home, the equipment can be stored there. Otherwise, the franchisee must rent commercial storage space.

Bigfoot Forestry requires approval of the site of any commercial storage facility where franchisees propose to store their equipment and tools. However, the storage facility is not required to be located within the franchisee's territory. This distinction provides franchisees with flexibility in choosing a storage location while ensuring that Bigfoot Forestry maintains some oversight over where its equipment is stored.
