What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bigfoot Forestry Franchise Disclosure Document, Bigfoot Forestry will provide franchisees with written specifications for the goods and services that they must purchase to develop, equip, and operate their Bigfoot Forestry business. They will also provide a list of approved suppliers.
Bigfoot Forestry also requires franchisees to purchase and use designated Technology Systems, including a computer system with specific components. These components include a laptop, mobile smart phone, printer, CRM, Microsoft 365, Lead Connector, and QuickBooks Online accounting software. The franchisor may change these components over time. The initial cost of the computer system is estimated to range from $1,500 to $1,800, including $600 for a pre-configured laptop that must be purchased from Bigfoot Forestry's affiliate as part of the Startup Package.
Franchisees must also pay a technology fee for software, technology, and related services. As of the issuance date of the 2025 Disclosure Document, this fee is $350 per month, or $4,200 per year. This fee covers the cost of the franchisee's Microsoft 365 account, which includes two email addresses and accounts, one Microsoft Teams Number, and technology support.
Prospective franchisees should carefully review Item 8 of the Bigfoot Forestry FDD to understand the specific suppliers they are required to use and the implications of these requirements. They should also inquire about any potential changes to the technology systems or associated fees.
