What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Bigfoot Forestry FDD, prior to opening a franchise, a franchisee must hire initial Service Technicians and, if applicable, a Project Manager.

Bigfoot Forestry requires a Managing Owner to be designated, who has primary responsibility for the business's management and operation. While Bigfoot Forestry recommends an owner-operator model where the Managing Owner is actively involved full-time, they permit hiring a Project Manager to assume these responsibilities. If a Project Manager is hired, they must be approved by Bigfoot Forestry, meet the requirements for Service Technicians, complete additional training, dedicate full-time efforts to the business, and sign a Confidentiality Agreement. The Managing Owner must monitor the Project Manager to ensure compliance with the Franchise Agreement and Manual.

Service Technicians are the personnel who perform Bigfoot Forestry Services. All Service Technicians must complete required training programs and sign a Confidentiality Agreement. The Managing Owner can also serve as a Service Technician, and if a Project Manager is hired, they must also serve as a Service Technician. The franchisee is responsible for determining appropriate staffing levels to ensure compliance with the agreement and system standards.
